Full Groom

A full groom typically includes a warm bath with breed-appropriate shampoo, a thorough brush-out, a haircut or trim styled to your preference, nail clipping or grinding, ear cleaning, and a sanitary trim. Some groomers also include teeth brushing, cologne, or bandana finishing touches. The entire process usually takes 2 to 4 hours depending on your dog's size, coat condition, and temperament.

This service works well for nearly every dog, but it is especially important for breeds with continuously growing coats like Poodles, Doodles, Shih Tzus, and Bichons. Dogs that spend time hiking PNW trails or playing in the rain benefit from regular full grooms to prevent matting and skin issues caused by damp undercoats.

In Washington and Oregon, expect to pay $50 to $80 for small breeds, $70 to $110 for medium breeds, and $90 to $150 or more for large or heavily coated dogs. Prices vary by location, coat condition, and whether the groomer offers one-on-one attention. Most groomers recommend scheduling a full groom every 4 to 8 weeks.
